The 5 Session Puppy Package is designed to span 4-6 weeks, but the date and time of lessons is entirely your choice, and if you wish to condense or spread out the sessions, you may.

You will need to commit just 3-5 minutes three times a day to practice on your own to see results.

In the first year of your puppy’s life, she will go through different stages and learning goals will advance; there is no definitive timeline, but you can expect a good foundation by the end of the package.

Crate training is never a punishment or a jailing, and is not done without teaching the puppy to choose her crate willingly.

Crate training is actually a kindness because a puppy who learns that her crate is a safe, comfortable place that is her own, can retreat there when unsure, and will have far less anxiety when she inevitably has to spend a few hours or more at the vet or in boarding.

It is also invaluable in the house training process.

But there are alternatives to keep your puppy safe and to facilitate house training.

The beauty of the clicker is that it lends itself to all ages and abilities.

If you are concerned about having to use your hands, a whistle can be substituted, and for those who worry that they cannot hear the clicker themselves, the feel of it is unmistakable.

I have experience working with people from the Deaf community and clients with ASD, and welcome those with other challenges.

If mobility is an issue, I can come to your home for the sessions as i routinely do so with any student.

Say nothing to your puppy and clean with a purpose-made cleaning product designed for pet urine to eliminate the smells that may trigger your puppy to do it again in that place.

Scolding a puppy who pees inside teaches them that peeing is making you upset.

It doesn’t help them to learn that peeing *inside* is wrong, and that peeing *outside* is good.

So the result is that when you go outside, the puppy will be hesitant to pee or poo because the last time they did that, you were angry.

This leads to a puppy who sneaks off to closets or secret corners of the home to do their business when you’re not looking.
